Position: Financial Counselor at American Oncology Network LLC
Compensation: $31.94 per hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee and manage the financial responsibilities associated with patient care.
- Update and maintain patient insurance benefits in OncoEMR and Centricity, ensuring that services rendered align with appropriate diagnoses and insurance coverage.
- Execute daily tasks as a Managed Care and Financial Counselor.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in clinical or administrative roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with managed care operations, ICD9 and CPT coding, along with experience in collections, is required.
- Capability to calculate and collect patient financial responsibilities, including insurance co-pays and coinsurance.
