Background Check Requirement

All candidates will undergo pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check, verification of work history, and validation of academic credentials and licenses. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of this process.

Minimum Qualifications

A medical degree from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic institution. Licensure to practice medicine in Arizona. Completion of residency training in an accredited program or equivalent experience. Certification by an American Board of Medical Specialists within 12 months of employment commencement; or any equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional medical and minor surgical services.
  • Conduct health assessments and physical examinations; interpret diagnostic data.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, dietary plans, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Refer patients to specialized consultation resources as needed.
  • Contribute to health education initiatives.
  • Utilize electronic health records for documenting patient interactions and billing.
  • Attend required staff meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Engage in after-hours phone response systems as needed.
  • Ensure continuity of care through coordination pre- and post-hospitalization.
  • Meet continuing medical education requirements and participate in educational programs.
  • Complete necessary reports for communicable diseases as mandated.
  • Be available for emergency response as part of the University Disaster Plan.
  • Participate in after-hours or weekend clinics as requested.
  • Assist in the education of students and post-graduate residents as needed.
  • Maintain current CPR or advanced life support certification as required.
