Position Overview

As a Mechanical Technician specializing in power generation, you will be tasked with conducting thorough inspections and performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on various mechanical systems. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of utility production and distribution systems, including steam, chilled water, condensate, and domestic water systems. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure optimal performance and safety in plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Utilize your experience (4+ years preferred) in the maintenance, rebuilding, and repair of mechanical systems.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to facilitate effective maintenance tasks.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance activities, including mechanical alignment, lubrication, inspection, and vibration analysis.
  • Collaborate with other operational personnel to uphold safe and efficient plant operations.
Additional Information
  • This position requires daily on-site attendance.
  • Domestic travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is necessary for operating company vehicles.
  • Compliance with all safety and ethical standards is mandatory.
  • Expect to work outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $37.21 USD

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit, and various employment terms will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement. It is advisable to review the relevant agreement prior to commencing employment.
