Key Responsibilities- Electrical Repair and Installation: Performs a variety of electrical repair work for existing equipment and installs new equipment as required.
- Troubleshooting: Works with sophisticated measuring instruments to troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions found in the plant facility.
- Electrical Design and Modification: Works from electrical prints, schematics, etc., which includes reading, adding to, and deleting from record any modifications to circuits as required.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensures that all electrical work conforms to the National Electric Code and plant safety requirements.
- Safety Procedures: Uses safety lockout procedure when performing electrical maintenance work.
- Maintenance and Repair: Performs routine maintenance on solid state controls.
- Mechanical Work: Performs mechanical work as required.
- Work Orders and Directives: Works from written work orders or from Supervisor's directives.
- Tools and Equipment: Uses a variety of tools including powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks, overhead hoists, and welding equipment.
- Teamwork: Assists Electrician A as necessary, and works closely with other maintenance mechanics.
Education and Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
