We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at Commercial Employees. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for installing and assembling electrical devices on power transformers.
Key Responsibilities- Construct and assemble core and coil units, and associated tanking procedures.
- Prepare tanks and covers, insert units, install and connect internal and external accessories, and adjust to proper clearance.
- Process units for testing and prepare for shipping.
- Assemble counter shields, make stick and tube assemblies, pre-load spacers, assemble vertical wind outs, bend, burn, anneal, clean, and wrap leads, remove coils from winding machines, and up-end.
- Direct mechanical work using various tools and equipment, including cranes, forklifts, hand tools, power tools, hydraulic equipment, air tools, hot oil systems, vacuum pumps, scaffolding, and battery-powered lifting equipment.
- Work from schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to assemble parts and wiring into control cabinets.
- Experience in an industrial setting, construction, or mechanical background is required.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Swing shift hours are Monday – Friday, 7a-3:30p & 3:30p-12a.
- Must be available to pass a background check and drug test.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
