**Clinical Informatics Principal**

Prometheus Federal Services, a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Principal to join our team. This role will focus on developing a new clinical informatics service line for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative informatics capabilities and solutions to enhance care delivery for Veterans.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to guide the development of clinical informatics solutions.
  • Shape the new clinical informatics service line, directly influencing the quality of healthcare services provided to those who have served our country.
  • Connect with clients and drive impactful solutions in healthcare delivery.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance user engagement and streamline processes, ensuring that our informatics capabilities align with client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Develop and implement education and training programs for healthcare professionals.
  • Human-Centered Design: Apply human-centered design principles to develop user-centered informatics solutions.
  • Change Management and Performance Improvement: Lead change management and performance improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery.
  • Clinical Informatics Workflows: Design and implement clinical informatics workflows to improve healthcare outcomes.
  • Analysis and Policy: Conduct analysis and develop policies to inform healthcare decision-making.
  • Technical Operations: Ensure the technical operations of informatics systems are running smoothly.
  • Growth Opportunities: Explore opportunities in informatics policy analysis, documentation, and interoperability, systems design and engineering, and risk management and security.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or related field; MD or clinical background preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical informatics with direct experience in the VA or other federal health clients.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical terminologies, and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations relevant to the VA.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and help resolve issues and risks.
  • Proven ability to lead a team ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust.
