Join a dynamic, patient-centered team at MedStar Radiology Network, where we are currently looking for a skilled MRI Technologist and Clinical Lead for a full-time role at our outpatient imaging facility. This position involves overseeing MRI operations during the evening shift. The role is composed of 80% hands-on patient care and 20% leadership responsibilities within the MRI Department.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the guidance of the Administrator, Clinical Manager, or Director of Center Operations, the Clinical Lead:

- Manages and coordinates clinical activities across designated areas of the Imaging Department, including equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial management, and customer service.
- Must possess the necessary skills and qualifications to perform duties in the areas they supervise.
- Ensures that services are delivered in a safe environment, adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards.

- Collaborates with the imaging center team, actively seeking and providing feedback to enhance clinical practices.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of five years of experience in medical imaging is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of departmental functions is essential for effective staff supervision.

EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine technology, or equivalent experience.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must fulfill state licensure requirements for the state of practice.
- BLS certification is required within the first 60 days of employment.

- Radiologic Technologists must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration from ARRT.

- Advanced registration through ARRT in another modality is required or must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in operating radiographic equipment and related ancillary devices.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Capable of providing accurate and concise documentation.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with computer applications, including information and billing systems, data entry, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
