Join Our Team as a Healthcare Administrative Specialist

As a vital member of the clinic support team at CORA Physical Therapy, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences through meaningful interactions and outstanding customer service.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage patients with warmth during in-person and phone communications.
  • Efficiently manage incoming calls, screening and relaying messages as needed.
  • Verify patient insurance details for outpatient therapy benefits.
  • Handle incoming physician referrals and prescriptions with care.
  • Communicate first visit expectations clearly to new patients.
  • Inform patients about their financial responsibilities, including deductibles and co-pays.
  • Maintain accurate patient files by scanning insurance and identification documents.
  • Process co-pay and deductible payments, providing receipts for each transaction.
  • Balance daily collections of cash, checks, and credit card payments, submitting charges to the Clinic Manager.
  • Ensure a clean and welcoming environment in the waiting area and therapy gym, adhering to sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • At least two years of recent customer service experience.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between multiple clinic locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High integrity, reliability, and honesty.
  • Able to work effectively both in teams and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare office setting.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Creole is a plus.
