Job Summary

The Backstage Automation Trainer is responsible for conducting comprehensive training programs in the field of backstage and automation systems. This role requires a strong understanding of technical training and the ability to design and deliver engaging training sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for entertainment technicians
  • Conduct training sessions on backstage and automation systems
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of new shows and vessels
  • Work closely with operations and production divisions to incorporate improvements and best practices
  • Deliver HR shipboard training sessions to shipboard team members
  • Participate in the recruitment of entertainment technicians
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Stage Management, Theatre, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical training and backstage automation
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of industry-standard software
  • Experience instructing in the field of stage management and production on cruise ships
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA & BFA in Stage Management or Theatre
  • Navigator & Visual Stage experience
Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and to move regularly throughout the facilities.

Work Conditions

This role is primarily based in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
