Job Title: Prospect Researcher

Job Summary:

The Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) is seeking a highly skilled Prospect Researcher to play a critical role in securing and managing funding from foundation, government, and organization sources. As a key member of the Advancement team, you will be responsible for identifying and researching potential donors, foundations, and corporations to assess their capacity and interest in supporting the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on high-net-worth individuals, corporate leaders, and philanthropic trends to inform fundraising strategies.
  • Compile and analyze research data to create detailed profiles and reports on prospective and existing donors.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Advancement team to enhance donor engagement and fundraising efforts.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records in the donor management system to track research findings and donor interactions.
  • Partner with the Advancement Director to develop strategies for cultivating top prospects and contributing to annual planning and goal-setting for the organization's fundraising efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in Business Management, Liberal Arts, Communications, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in grants administration, project management support, grant writing, or other related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of donor research tools, including iWave/Kindsight and LexisNexis.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management with an ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities.

Work Environment:
