Key Responsibilities:
  • Donor Relations:
    • Assist with donor communication, including acknowledgment letters, thank you notes, and updates on organizational impact.
    • Help cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
    • Conduct prospect research on potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
  • Event Support:
    • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and donor receptions.
    • Coordinate event logistics such as invitations, RSVPs, vendor communication, and on-site support during events.
  • Grant Writing & Research:
    • Support grant proposal development by assisting with research, drafting content, and preparing materials for submission.
    • Track grant application deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Database Management:
    • Update and maintain donor records in the organization's donor database.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity, including inputting donation information and tracking donor engagement.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and assisting with other office duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Currently enrolled in a college or university program (undergraduate or graduate) in a related field (e.g., Arts Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or Business).
  • Passion for the Arts: Strong interest in arts, culture, and community engagement.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required; familiarity with donor databases is a plus but not required.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and donors while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
  • Research & Writing: Strong research and writing skills, with an interest in learning about grant writing and donor cultivation.
