The View at Long Lake is seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant to enhance their team. In this role, you will develop and implement effective sales techniques, both over the phone and in person. Your responsibilities will include responding to inquiries, conducting community tours, and leasing apartments and townhomes while promoting the community's offerings. Your goal will be to optimize occupancy rates and maximize rental income.

Working Hours:

Winter Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Summer Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; Saturday, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Stay informed about apartment and townhome availability, pricing, and features.
  • Welcome prospective residents and discuss their housing preferences.
  • Provide information packets, floor plans, and deposit details while presenting community information.
  • Adhere to established policies for applicant qualification, screening, and acceptance.
  • Conduct tours of the property and available units, showcasing amenities and models.
  • Maintain accurate leasing data on Guest Cards and in Yardi software.
  • Follow up with prospective residents within 48 hours post-tour if a lease has not been signed, including sending a thank-you note.
  • Implement the community's lease renewal strategy to maximize resident retention.
  • Prepare lease documentation accurately and timely, ensuring all paperwork is completed before resident move-in.
  • Create marketing materials for prospective residents as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Compile property information packets.
  • Prepare move-in packets.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the community, collaborating with the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager to ensure readiness for move-ins and maintenance of properties.
  • Take charge of community operations in the absence of the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager.
  • Participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Safeguard confidential information.
  • Remain adaptable and open to change.
  • Understand and apply principles of good housekeeping and safety.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred experience includes one or more years in leasing or retail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to make prospects feel comfortable.
  • Proven ability to close sales.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
