The View at Long Lake is seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant to enhance their team. In this role, you will cultivate, refine, and effectively apply exceptional sales techniques, both over the phone and in person. Your responsibilities will include responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, and leasing residential units while promoting the community's offerings. Your goal will be to maximize occupancy rates and optimize rental income.

Working Hours:

Winter Schedule - November 1st to March 1st: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Summer Schedule - March 1st to September 30th: Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; Saturday, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required. Office hours may vary by property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about apartment and townhome availability, pricing, and features.
  • Welcome prospective residents and discuss their housing preferences.
  • Provide information packets, floor plans, and details about deposits and community features.
  • Adhere to established policies for applicant qualification, screening, and acceptance.
  • Conduct tours of the property and available units, showcasing amenities and models.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects and leasing data.
  • Follow up with prospective residents within 48 hours post-tour if a lease is not signed.
  • Implement the community's lease renewal strategy to enhance resident retention.
  • Prepare lease documentation accurately and promptly, ensuring clarity for new and existing residents.
  • Create marketing materials to attract prospective residents.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Compile property information packets.
  • Assist in preparing move-in packets.
  • Support the daily operations of the community, collaborating with the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager to ensure readiness for new residents.
  • Participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Safeguard confidential information.
  • Remain adaptable and open to change.
  • Apply principles of good housekeeping and safety.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Standards:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One or more years of experience in leasing or retail is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make others feel comfortable.
  • Proven ability to close sales.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
