The View at Long Lake is seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant to become part of their team. In this role, you will cultivate, enhance, and effectively apply exceptional sales techniques, both over the phone and in person. Your responsibilities will include responding to inquiries, conducting community tours, and leasing available homes while promoting the benefits of our rental community. You will strive to maximize occupancy and optimize rental income.

Working Hours:

Winter Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Summer Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; Saturday, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about apartment and townhome availability, pricing, and features.
  • Welcome prospective residents and discuss their housing preferences.
  • Present information packets, floor plans, and deposit details regarding the community.
  • Adhere to established procedures for qualifying, screening, and accepting applicants.
  • Conduct tours of the property and available units, showcasing amenities and models.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects and leasing activities.
  • Follow up with prospective residents within 48 hours if a lease is not signed, including sending a thank-you note.
  • Implement the community's lease renewal program to maximize resident retention.
  • Prepare lease documentation accurately and promptly, ensuring all paperwork is complete before resident move-in.
  • Create marketing materials for prospective residents as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Compile property information packets.
  • Prepare move-in packets for new residents.
  • Assist in managing daily community operations, collaborating closely with the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager to ensure units are ready for occupancy and well-maintained.
  • Take charge of community operations in the absence of the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager.
  • Participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Safeguard confidential information.
  • Remain adaptable and open to change.
  • Apply basic principles of safety and good housekeeping.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One or more years of experience in leasing or retail is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make others feel comfortable.
  • Proven ability to close sales.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
