Responsibilities
Key Duties
Under the guidance of supervisors, the Receptionist is tasked with a variety of general administrative support responsibilities related to the patient intake process and performs routine functions within the clinic.

Additional responsibilities for this healthcare position include:

Facilitating patient check-in during visits and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed to maintain an efficient admitting process while adhering to clinic and regulatory standards.


  • Manage incoming phone calls and route them as needed.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling in accordance with office protocols.
  • Gather accurate patient and insurance details, including collection of copays and deductible amounts.
  • Digitally copy/scan patient access-related documents (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards) into the appropriate sections of the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare patient charts for appointments, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete.
  • Execute all tasks related to patient check-out, including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments, and scheduling follow-up visits.
  • Assist with the filing and retrieval of records and support the organization of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Confirm next-day appointments and inform patients about necessary documentation, including specifics related to time-of-service payments.
  • Follow up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and send relevant communications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    Job Requirements
    + High school diploma or equivalent required.
    + Familiarity with insurance authorization and billing processes. Demonstrated strong customer service and communication abilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in computer applications. Understanding of clinic procedures and regulatory standards. A strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism are essential. Must be a team player capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    Pay Range
    $15 - $20.33 /hour
