Responsibilities
Key Duties
Under direct supervision, the Receptionist is tasked with a variety of general administrative support functions related to the patient intake process and performs routine responsibilities within the clinic.
Specific duties for this healthcare position include:
- Facilitating patient check-in during visits and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed to maintain an efficient admitting process in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.
- Managing incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Coordinating appointment scheduling in accordance with office protocols.
- Collecting accurate patient and insurance details, including copays and deductible amounts.
- Scanning and copying patient access-related documents (e.g., identification, referrals, insurance cards) into the designated areas of the electronic medical record.
- Preparing patient charts for appointments, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete.
- Executing all functions related to patient check-out, including pricing services, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-up visits.
- Handling record filing and retrieval, as well as assisting with the organization of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
- Confirming next-day appointments and informing patients about necessary documentation, including details regarding time-of-service payments.
- Following up with patients concerning the Missed Appointment Policy and sending appropriate communications.
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Familiarity with insurance authorization and billing requirements.
- Exhibit strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Possess organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory obligations.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
- A collaborative team player capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range
$15 - $20.33 per hour
