Responsibilities
Key Duties
Under the guidance of supervisory staff, the Receptionist is tasked with a variety of essential administrative support functions related to patient intake and performs routine responsibilities within the clinic environment.

Additional responsibilities for this healthcare position include:

Facilitating patient check-in during visits and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed to maintain an efficient admitting process while adhering to clinic and regulatory standards.


  • Manage incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Arrange appointments in accordance with office protocols.
  • Collect and verify patient and insurance details, including copayments and deductible amounts.
  • Digitally archive patient access-related documents (e.g., identification, referrals, insurance cards) into the designated areas of the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare patient charts for appointments, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete.
  • Execute all tasks related to patient check-out, including pricing services, collecting patient payments, and scheduling follow-up visits.
  • Handle record filing and retrieval, assisting with the organization of registration documents in electronic medical records.
  • Confirm next-day appointments and inform patients of necessary documentation, including details regarding time-of-service payments.
  • Follow up with patients concerning the Missed Appointment Policy and send relevant communications.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    Job Requirements
    + High school diploma or equivalent required.
    + Familiarity with insurance authorization and billing protocols. Demonstrated excellence in customer service and communication abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient in computer applications. Understanding of clinic operations and regulatory standards. A strong work ethic and a high degree of professionalism are essential. A collaborative team member capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
    Pay Range
    $15 - $20.33 /hour
