Role Summary
The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in managing the patient check-in process, updating patient records, and handling insurance information. Responsibilities also include operating a multi-line phone system, maintaining medical records, and processing payments.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties
  • Execute opening and closing procedures for the clinic
  • Welcome patients, check them in for appointments, and verify their insurance details
  • Input documents into the electronic health record system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and reception desk
  • Monitor schedules for any changes, including added, canceled, or no-show appointments
  • Arrange follow-up appointments as necessary
  • Address tasks within the electronic health record system
  • Order and manage clinic office supplies
  • Market and track cosmetic products
  • Handle incoming mail
  • Prepare for the next day's scheduled appointments
Qualifications

Education Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or similar role is preferred
  • Proficient in basic computer operations
  • Quick learner of new software applications
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work independently or collaboratively
  • Receptive to constructive feedback and guidance from supervisors
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Friendly, tactful, and compassionate approach when interacting with others
