Job Overview

The role of a Process Engineer (PE) within the Marine and Industrial Engine sector is crucial for the operational efficiency of the assembly workshop. This position involves addressing daily challenges in the assembly process while spearheading enhancements through technical initiatives and Lean methodologies, grounded in Flight Deck principles. The PE plays a vital role in ensuring that the assembly team meets essential performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with fellow PE colleagues to oversee the assembly production workflow, which includes process metrics, operational guidelines, tooling, equipment, and Lean initiatives.
  • Facilitates daily shop operations by diagnosing production challenges and defects (Preliminary Review), deriving lessons from setbacks, and implementing corrective actions (RCCA).
  • Coordinates with various support teams involved in assembly, including maintenance, manufacturing programs, engineering, and supplier quality assurance.
  • Promotes a culture that values inclusivity, teamwork, and enjoyment in the workplace.
  • Enhances technical expertise in engine assembly through engagement in process improvement initiatives.
  • Employs Flight Deck tools and leads Kaizen events aimed at boosting operational capability, minimizing costs, and increasing production capacity.
  • Acquires comprehensive knowledge in a specific technical area, leveraging prior experience and technical skills to implement policies and strategies effectively.
  • Assists in the introduction of new configurations and CID initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or operational roles.
