Job Overview

A Process Engineer (PE) in the Marine and Industrial Engine sector plays a crucial role in the assembly environment. This individual is responsible for maintaining the operational flow of the assembly line by addressing and resolving any production challenges that may arise, while also spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing processes through technical and Lean methodologies rooted in Flight Deck principles. The PE is instrumental in helping the assembly team meet essential performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with fellow PE colleagues to oversee the assembly production workflow, which includes monitoring process metrics, developing work instructions, managing tooling and equipment, and implementing Lean initiatives.
  • Assists in the daily operations of the shop by troubleshooting production challenges and defects, conducting Preliminary Reviews, learning from setbacks, and executing corrective actions (RCCA).
  • Coordinates with various support teams, including maintenance, manufacturing programs, engineering, and supplier quality, to facilitate assembly processes.
  • Promotes a culture that values inclusivity, teamwork, and enjoyment in the workplace.
  • Enhances technical expertise in engine assembly through participation in process improvement initiatives.
  • Employs Flight Deck tools and takes part in or leads Kaizen events to boost capabilities, lower costs, and expand production capacity.
  • Develops comprehensive knowledge in a specific technical area, leveraging past experiences and acquired skills to implement policies and strategies effectively.
  • Assists with the introduction of new configurations and CID.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or operational roles.
