Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a registered professional nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will also oversee and evaluate patient education and the activities of ancillary nursing staff while upholding professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions during recovery from anesthesia, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
  • Execute procedures as directed by the medical team.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient's medical records.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to post-anesthesia care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida, or recognized Compact Licensure.
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from an accredited organization.
  • Preferred advanced certifications (e.g., CEN, TNCC).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital PACU setting.
  • Availability for on-call duties, residing within a reasonable distance from the facility.
