Role Responsibilities
As a PRN PACU RN, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring patient conditions during recovery from anesthesia, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
- Executing medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
- Documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administering prescribed medications and observing patient responses.
- Maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to post-surgical care.
Qualifications Required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida or recognized Compact Licensure.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from recognized organizations.
- Preferred advanced certifications (e.g., CEN, TNCC).
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving patients and equipment.
- A minimum of one year of experience in acute care, specifically in PACU or ICU settings.
- Availability for on-call duties, residing within a reasonable distance from the facility.
