Role Responsibilities

As a PRN PACU RN, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating patient conditions during the recovery phase, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Executing procedures or tasks as directed by the attending physician.
  • Documenting care provided in the patient medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Administering prescribed medications and monitoring patient responses.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment utilized in post-surgical care.

Qualifications Required

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida or recognized Compact Licensure.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Preferred advanced certifications (e.g., CEN, TNCC).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • A minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in PACU or ICU settings.
  • Availability for on-call duties, with a requirement to reside within a 30-minute radius of the facility.
