The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in both theoretical and practical electrochemistry, enabling them to effectively comprehend and meet the essential needs of researchers in academic institutions, industrial research and development, national laboratories, and research facilities.
This role is ideally suited for an individual with exceptional communication abilities, capable of conducting virtual meetings, field demonstrations, educational workshops, and software training sessions focused on electrochemistry.
Moreover, the position requires a genuine interest in customer engagement and relationship building to enhance marketing efforts and product promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
The chosen candidate will be assigned a diverse array of objectives that will serve as key performance indicators for business expansion in the designated region.
Year-over-Year growth in total electrochemistry sales revenue and instrument/unit count
Win-loss ratio and opportunity closing rate
Sales forecast accuracy
New opportunities and accounts established in the region
Revenue generated from competitive, returning, and new accounts
Gross profit margins and average discounts provided
The candidate will be tasked with identifying new leads and accounts within academia, industry, and emerging startups, while also fostering long-term relationships and partnerships to cultivate a loyal customer base in the area.
While all sales specialists at Inotiv participate in various national marketing events, we are in search of an independent thinker who can co-organize regional activities (such as webinars, workshops, student chapters, and electrochemistry schools).
Finally, all sales specialists are responsible for submitting monthly and quarterly sales analysis reports to management.
An ideal candidate will also provide insights on marketing trends, competitive intelligence, and any necessary modifications to our products in terms of pricing and specifications.

A sales specialist at Inotiv is dedicated to delivering high-quality service tailored to each customer's needs.
We train our team members to adopt a customer-centric approach, emphasizing 'active listening' and asking pertinent questions to fully understand customer requirements.
Once a clear understanding is established, the candidate will provide meaningful solutions in a prompt, clear, and concise manner.
Timely generation of quotes with detailed descriptions and customized proposals is a priority for both our customers and our sales specialists.
Being a collaborative team player and practicing respectful communication with internal teams such as client support, shipping, inventory, product development, and marketing is essential.
Our entire sales team actively engages in trade shows, conferences, student chapters, educational schools, and workshops on a national scale. Occasionally, they will set up and manage exhibit booths along with demo inventory.
Lastly, on a monthly and quarterly basis, we expect every sales specialist to deliver a comprehensive report on regional sales revenue, analyzed with logical reasoning, charts, and trends for future enhancements in pricing, specifications, and configurations.
