Minimum Qualifications:

  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in the same fields with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Or a PhD in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Over 12 years of experience in software engineering or related roles.
  • Experience with database management systems for at least 3 years.
  • 3+ years of experience working with APIs.
  • 2+ years in a technical leadership capacity, with or without direct reports.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git or Perforce for at least 1 year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes advanced software engineering expertise to design, develop, and validate critical embedded and cloud-edge software applications.
  • Analyzes user requirements and software specifications to create customized software solutions for optimal efficiency.
  • Designs and implements software subsystems for complex, large-scale products.
  • Leads coding and testing initiatives to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
  • Conducts complex code reviews and regression testing, addressing issues to maintain code quality.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., hardware, systems, and testing engineers) to design integrated solutions.
  • Produces detailed technical documentation for complex software projects and reviews documentation prepared by junior engineers.

  • Operates independently with minimal oversight.
  • Decision-making is critical and significantly influences project success.
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
  • Possesses a moderate level of influence over key organizational decisions.
