Position Overview

Glenmede Trust Co, a prominent investment and wealth management firm, is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing both onsite and remote technical assistance to our users, ensuring seamless operation of hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities

User Assistance: Deliver prompt responses to requests for technical support via various communication channels. Document and track all user issues through our help desk system, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding tickets. Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of computers and mobile devices, while providing guidance on appropriate actions for users.

Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues of moderate complexity related to applications, systems, and hardware. Utilize available resources to research and address inquiries, adhering to established help desk protocols.

Active Directory Management: Support the maintenance of the Active Directory infrastructure, including user and domain management. Employ automation tools for routine tasks associated with Active Directory, such as user account management.

Team Collaboration: Engage actively in departmental and company-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing capabilities and improving user experiences. Contribute to the development of more efficient processes and support the overall advancement of the team.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, MS Office Suite, and basic networking.

Preferred:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Experience in printer management and mobile device administration.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel as needed.
