Job Overview

This position is focused on providing exceptional technical support within a healthcare organization that serves a significant number of individuals. The role involves working primarily during standard business hours, with occasional weekend responsibilities.

Position Duration: 6 months with potential for extension or conversion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for Microsoft-centric products and assist with Azure/cloud readiness initiatives.
- Facilitate the transition to Office 365 and manage user mailboxes in Exchange Online.
- Assist in the rollout of Microsoft Teams and Windows 10, while gaining exposure to Windows Virtual Desktop technologies.
- Troubleshoot issues related to both physical and virtual desktops, ensuring a seamless user experience.

This role is critical in supporting a diverse workforce of over 1,200 employees and contractors, primarily through remote assistance and occasional in-person interactions.

Core Duties:
- Research and resolve application-related issues reported by staff, documenting all inquiries and solutions in the ticketing system.
- Install and configure computer equipment for users, maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and perform general support tasks as required.
- Contribute to the Knowledge Management system by documenting solutions and best practices.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to customer service and a willingness to assist users.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Active Directory and associated technologies such as Group Policy, DNS, WINS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with application deployment tools like InstallShield and Flexera AdminStudio.
- Understanding of Windows registry and patch management processes.

Technical Proficiencies:

Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses comprehensive troubleshooting skills for Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS environments.

Work Environment:
This role operates within a healthcare setting, requiring mobility throughout the facility and occasional travel to remote locations. The position may involve lifting and setting up computer equipment.

On-Call Responsibilities:
- Candidates should be prepared for on-call duties approximately once a month, with minimal weekend interruptions.
