Facility Management Technician

The Building People, LLC is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Facility Management Technician.

In this position, you will:

  • Assist the Project Manager and Facility Management Engineer in performing facility assessments in accordance with the ANSI/BOMA Z65 measurement standards.
  • Analyze architectural plans and utilize advanced measuring tools to gather precise data.
  • Input and maintain accurate asset information within the Facility Management system for comprehensive records and reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity of asset data through proper entry, storage, and management.
  • Manage the input of asset details and scheduled maintenance into the database.
  • Oversee and coordinate all tasks related to reactive and planned maintenance, space management, asset oversight, operational facility services, room bookings, and additional client services.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in conducting facility assessments using ANSI/BOMA Z65 standards.
  • Familiarity with the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, utilizing laser measuring devices, and possessing skills in CAD software and database management.
  • Experience in effectively using CAD, Facility Management, and Computer Integrated Facility Management technologies for generating drawings or data entry. Knowledge of GSA PBS National Business Space Assignment Policy is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in CAD or relevant educational background.
  • Certification in Facility Management.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass Federal and Government security background checks, including HSPD-12 and fingerprinting, along with agency-specific screenings.
  • Capability to operate within a NIST-compliant security framework and support all client-required cybersecurity protocols.
  • Commitment to safeguarding company, colleague, and client information.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • At least two years of successful remote work experience with minimal supervision, ensuring a suitable workspace and reliable high-speed internet access.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary based on company requirements in remote hiring areas.
