Position Overview

MedStar Medical Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation of our facilities.

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain microprocessor-controlled systems, including air distribution and pneumatic tube networks. You will assess the specific needs of these systems and perform necessary programming, preventive maintenance, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, maintain, and repair air distribution and pneumatic tube systems, including exhaust fans and related components such as digital controls and software.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and system failures, developing effective solutions while maintaining accurate inventories of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and address work orders aimed at minimizing operational disruptions. Propose enhancements and modifications as needed.
  • Prepare estimates for various repair tasks, determining required resources and securing necessary tools and materials.
  • Program systems for energy efficiency, ensuring optimal environmental conditions throughout the facilities. Inspect and evaluate system components to ensure compliance with established standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of trade or vocational training, with coursework in relevant subjects such as chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, demonstrating proficiency in mechanical systems and computer operations.
  • 5-7 years of experience in operating and maintaining HVAC and pneumatic tube systems.

This position offers a competitive hiring range of $33.21 per hour.
