Exciting Opportunity at Exponent

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist specializing in Exposure Assessment and Risk Evaluation to join our dynamic team at Exponent. As a key member of our team, you will be leading and collaborating with a group of scientists on various client projects involving human health, including support for legal cases. Your role will involve project leadership, client engagement, business development, and exploration of new opportunities in the Health Science field. Projects will cover a range of disciplines such as Toxicology, Epidemiology, Occupational Medicine, and more. This position offers flexibility in terms of location and work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Applying expertise in risk assessment and exposure evaluation to address complex health issues for diverse clients
  • Identifying and attracting new business opportunities, as well as representing the company to existing contacts and stakeholders
  • Cultivating new projects and clients while maintaining strong relationships with current clients and partners
  • Mentoring staff in technical and business skills to ensure their growth and development
  • Overseeing project management and budgets to ensure successful project delivery
  • Presenting research findings and contributing to strategic consulting to drive business growth and innovation

Requirements

  • PhD in Environmental or Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in research and consulting
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management and leadership
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and stakeholders
  • Expertise in quantitative risk assessment and exposure evaluation
  • Proven track record in project management and delivery
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Dedication to ongoing professional growth and development
