Job Summary

The George Washington University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to join our team at the Milken Institute School of Public Health. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for overseeing study staff, working with Principal Investigators and data management partners to direct and manage day-to-day study operations, and collaborating with partners to improve patient care and ensure the continued success and growth of our studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee study staff and manage day-to-day study operations
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators and data management partners to design and analyze manuscripts for peer-reviewed literature
  • Work with partners to improve patient care and ensure the continued success and growth of our studies
  • Develop and implement research protocols and procedures
  • Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date on the latest research in the field
Requirements
  • Master's degree plus 8 years of experience or a PhD plus 5 years of experience in a related discipline
  • Experience in study coordination, HIV/AIDS epidemiology, and/or other large cohort studies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD), Masters in Public Health or PhD in Epidemiology and/or Public Health
  • Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS
  • Experience in study coordination, HIV/AIDS epidemiology, and/or other large cohort studies
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications
