Position Overview

Job Title: Girls Basketball Program Leader

Institution: Northside Charter High School

Role Summary: Northside Charter High School is in search of a passionate and skilled Girls Basketball Program Leader for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the development of student-athletes, promoting values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Coaching Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute regular training sessions for the basketball team.
  • Participate in all scheduled games, practices, and related events, unless otherwise excused.
  • Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill enhancement among student-athletes.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
  • Adhere to the guidelines established by the school, the Athletic Department, and the governing league.
  • Fulfill any additional duties related to coaching as assigned by the Athletic Director.
  • Maintain and care for all equipment and uniforms throughout the season.

Academic Support: Each team is required to conduct a minimum of two (2) hours of study hall weekly, with scheduling determined by the coaching staff.

Community Engagement: Teams must participate in at least three (3) community service initiatives during the season, organized by the coach or Athletic Director.

Team Attire: All team members are expected to wear school-approved attire during the school day and at any athletic or community service events.

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes.
  • Dedication to creating a positive and encouraging team atmosphere.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Compensation:

The selected candidate will receive a stipend of $5000, distributed evenly throughout the duration of the coaching term.
