Position Overview

The Group Leader role is pivotal in fostering a supportive and engaging environment for participants of all ages. This position involves collaboration with the Site Director and Assistant Director to curate enriching programs that cater to children, youth, and adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement engaging activities during operational hours.
  • Facilitate after-school programs, incorporating hands-on, multi-sensory learning experiences.
  • Organize and prepare materials for daily activities and schedules.
  • Contribute to lesson planning, activity execution, and effective behavior management.
  • Ensure proper supervision of participants during various activities, including snack times and excursions.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records daily.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of community events for families and local residents.
  • Monitor the authorized pickup of participants by guardians.
  • Oversee Activity Specialists and uphold staff performance standards.
  • Review and approve lesson plans submitted by team members.
  • Support specialists in managing group dynamics and addressing minor behavioral issues.
  • Step in for Activity Specialists as necessary.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned, demonstrating reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is required; some college experience is preferred.
  • A passion for working with children and the ability to pass a background check are essential.
  • Experience in sports, arts, or other creative fields is advantageous.
