Girls Basketball Coaching Position

Job Title: Girls Basketball Coach
Location: Northside Charter High School
Role Duration: Seasonal Position
Summary: Northside Charter High School is in search of a skilled and passionate Girls Basketball Coach for the upcoming season. The selected individual will demonstrate a strong commitment to nurturing student-athletes, fostering teamwork, and promoting personal development through sports.
Coaching Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead regular training sessions for the basketball team.
- Be present at all scheduled games, practices, and related events unless otherwise authorized.
- Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill enhancement among players.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- Adhere to the guidelines established by the school, the Athletic Department, and the governing sports body.
- Fulfill any additional duties related to coaching as assigned by the Athletic Director.
- Maintain and care for equipment and uniforms throughout the season.
Academic Support: Each team is required to complete a minimum of two hours of study hall weekly, with schedules determined by the coaching staff.
Community Engagement: Teams must participate in at least three community service events during the season, coordinated by the coach or Athletic Director.
Team Attire: All team members are expected to wear school-approved attire during the school day and at any athletic or community service events.
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching experience is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes.
- Dedication to creating a positive and supportive team culture.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Compensation:
The successful candidate will receive a stipend for their coaching services, distributed evenly throughout the season.
