About the Role

Careerblazers Nonprofit Search is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization's programmatic efforts and impact. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing community-centered solutions to advance racial equity in various areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Vision: Develop and execute strategic goals and timelines that align with our organization's mission and values.
  • Program Development: Create and lead programs that promote personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency, with a focus on advancing racial equity.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage and energize members of our organization, as well as establish and maintain relationships with various organizations.
  • Policy and Reform: Create policy and reform decision frameworks and methods, and implement initiatives and policies that advance our organization's missions and goals.
  • Communication and Outreach: Lead community outreach and communications efforts, and serve as the primary spokesperson for our organization.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans that align with our organization's mission and goals, and ensure effective systems to track scaling progress and regularly evaluate components to measure successes.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience in social justice or local government, or equivalent experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the scope of work.
  • Skills: High-level strategic thinking and planning, strong passion for serving communities who have historically lacked a strong voice and influence in local government, negotiation and mediation skills, exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills, and strong work ethic with a high degree of energy.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Salary: $130,000-$140,000.
