ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

The Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Programs (UMADAOP) is committed to delivering comprehensive, culturally sensitive, evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery, reentry, and educational services tailored to the African and Hispanic American communities in Hamilton County. We strive to integrate proven data and community support to promote a holistic approach to recovery, ultimately enhancing the health and strength of our communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

  • Oversee the formulation and execution of operational strategies, objectives, and plans.
  • Guide the preparation of the annual budget and ensure adherence to the operational business plan.
  • Direct the establishment and implementation of the organization's mission, vision, and values, ensuring clinical excellence and financial sustainability.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans and governance structures in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with community, county, and state agencies.
  • Identify and secure funding sources to support organizational initiatives.

Staff Management

  • Ensure effective recruitment, retention, and development of professional staff.
  • Guide staff to achieve financial and clinical outcomes.

Cultural Development

  • Promote a transparent and collaborative work environment that aligns with the agency's mission and values.
  • Support practices aimed at enhancing performance on quality measures and organizational improvement.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure services meet community needs and represent the agency effectively at various events.
  • Oversee the preparation and dissemination of compliance documents.
  • Ensure efficient organizational operations, including service delivery and risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Master's degree in Business, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
  • State of Ohio licensure in Social Work, Addiction/Prevention, or a related Mental Health field is required; supervisory experience is a plus.

Experience

  • Extensive experience in personnel management, budgeting, public relations, and fiscal management.
  • Proven ability to implement operational strategies and manage complex organizational issues.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory best practices.
  • Exceptional financial acumen with the ability to analyze and communicate financial information effectively.

Skills

  • Strong persuasive and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships across diverse groups and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Records (EMR); familiarity with CareLogic EHR is advantageous.
