ABOUT US

The Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Programs (UMADAOP) is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, culturally sensitive, evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery, and educational services to the African and Hispanic American communities in Hamilton County. We combine data-driven approaches with community and family support to foster holistic recovery for those we serve, aiming to strengthen our communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

  • Direct the formulation and execution of operational strategies, objectives, and plans.
  • Oversee the creation of the annual budget and the implementation of the operational business plan.
  • Guide the development and execution of the organization's mission, vision, and purpose, ensuring clinical excellence and a robust service culture.
  • Lead the establishment of long-term strategic plans and governance structures as defined by the Board of Directors.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with community, county, and state agencies.
  • Identify and secure funding sources for the organization.

Staff Management

  • Ensure effective recruitment, retention, support, and development of professional staff.
  • Guide staff to achieve financial, clinical, and prevention outcomes.

Cultural Development

  • Promote a work environment that values transparency, collaboration, and adherence to agency policies regarding staffing and employee well-being.
  • Analyze and recommend practices to enhance performance on quality measures and engage in organizational improvements.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure that all services align with community needs and represent the agency positively at various events.
  • Oversee the preparation and dissemination of corporate documents to maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Ensure efficient and effective organizational operations, including service delivery, risk management, and records management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background

  • Master's degree in Business, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
  • Independently licensed in Social Work, Addiction/Prevention, or a related Mental Health field.

Executive Experience

  • Extensive experience in personnel management, budgeting, public relations, and fiscal management.
  • Proven ability to implement operational strategies and manage organizational goals.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial issues.

Skills

  • Exceptional persuasive and presentation abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at building relationships and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with critical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Records.
