ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

The Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Programs (UMADAOP) is committed to delivering comprehensive, culturally sensitive, evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery, reentry, and educational services tailored for Hamilton County's African and Hispanic American populations. We integrate empirical data with community and familial support to promote a holistic approach to recovery, aiming to enhance the health and strength of our communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

  • Oversee the formulation and execution of operational strategies, objectives, and plans.
  • Guide the creation of the annual budget and ensure adherence to the operational business plan.
  • Steer the establishment and execution of the organization’s purpose, vision, and mission, ensuring safety, clinical excellence, and robust financial performance.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans and governance structures as directed by the Board of Directors.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with community, county, and state agencies.
  • Identify and secure funding sources for the organization.

Staff Management

  • Ensure effective recruitment, retention, support, development, and supervision of professional staff.
  • Direct staff efforts to achieve:
    • Financial and budgetary objectives.
    • Clinical outcome targets.
    • Prevention program goals.

Cultural Development

  • Promote a holistic work environment that encourages transparency, collaboration, and adherence to agency policies related to staffing and employee well-being.
  • Evaluate and recommend practices to enhance performance on quality measures, engaging in organizational redesign and quality improvement initiatives.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure all services align with community needs and represent the agency positively at social and corporate events.
  • Direct the preparation and dissemination of corporate documents to maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Guarantee that organizational operations are efficient and effective, including:
    • Service delivery and information systems.
    • Risk management and compliance.
    • Scheduling and records management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background

  • Master's degree in Business, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
  • Independently licensed in Social Work, Addiction/Prevention, or a related Mental Health field; supervisory experience is a plus.

Executive Leadership Experience

  • Proven expertise in personnel management, budgeting, public relations, fiscal oversight, human resources, and staff development.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement operational strategies, business plans, and financial goals effectively.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory best practices.
  • Exceptional financial acumen with the ability to analyze and communicate complex financial issues clearly.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong persuasive and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at building relationships across diverse groups and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with critical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR); knowledge of CareLogic EHR Platform is advantageous.
