Job Overview

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in North Canton, Ohio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) observation and testing services for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough construction observation and documentation to ensure compliance with project design drawings and technical specifications.
  • Perform field testing and sampling of soil and concrete materials to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Review project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare detailed written documentation to ensure projects are completed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with project management and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by client and business needs.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, especially during construction season.
  • Ability to perform duties within established deadlines.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Environmental Science or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, or related discipline.
  • Previous practical experience in construction quality assurance or related field.
