At PPS-HPS, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct first article inspections and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform various quality functions and checks, including visual inspections, pressure tests, and NDE inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including shipping, engineering, sales, and department supervisors, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Inspect formed tubing, machined products, and weldments to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Operate various gages and equipment, including tape measure, calipers, height gage, micrometers, angle finders, and optical comparators.
- Interpret blueprint requirements and detect quality errors or problems, taking corrective action as needed.
- Score a 70% or better on the company Shop Math Test.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
