Emergency Medical Technician

As an Advanced Life Support Paramedic, you will utilize your expertise and empathy to deliver exceptional emergency medical services. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-volume, prehospital emergency response for patients in critical situations, ensuring their safe transport to medical facilities.
This role also encompasses both urgent and non-urgent inter-facility transfers, where your skills will be vital in maintaining patient care during transport.
Shift Information & BenefitsThis position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including eligibility for Sign-On and Relocation Bonuses, which will be discussed during the interview process.
- Full Time, 1.0 FTE
- Shifts typically consist of hour shifts in Days, Nights, or Swing schedules.
- Compensation includes:
- $2.00/hr Ambulance Service Differential, applicable to all hours worked.
- $5.00/hr Night Differential for eligible night hours, in addition to base pay.
- $3.00/hr Weekend Differential for eligible weekend hours, stacking on base pay.
- $2.00/hr Bachelor's or $3.00/hr Master's Education Differential for approved focus areas, applicable to all hours worked.
- Deliver prehospital emergency care and inter-facility transportation for patients experiencing medical emergencies.
- Administer medications and perform advanced life support interventions in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
- Maintain precise medical records for patient interactions using the designated documentation system.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with established protocols.
- Participate in the training of emergency medical services students to foster their professional development.
- Engage in departmental meetings and educational programs to stay updated on industry advancements.
- Implement best practices to optimize response times and enhance service delivery.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- A valid New Mexico driver's license without restrictions is required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old with an insurable driving record.
- Possession of a State of New Mexico Paramedic certification in good standing is essential.
- All relevant certifications (e.g., ACLS, BLS) must be maintained.
- Completion of FEMA courses 100, 200, and 700 is required.
- Capability to perform CPR and execute all skills associated with paramedic licensure.
- Previous EMT experience is preferred.
- Successful completion of a physical abilities assessment is necessary.
- Medical examiner certification/DOT certification must be obtained during onboarding and maintained thereafter.
