About the Role

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative II to provide exceptional support to our licensed clinics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling high-volume patient coordination and complex scheduling tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Triage: Answer and direct calls to the appropriate individuals or departments, ensuring timely and effective communication with patients and staff.
  • Scheduling and Authorization: Schedule appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services, while verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations.
  • Insurance Verification: Perform thorough insurance verification functions to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Referral Management: Process and track incoming and outgoing referrals, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and Cedars-Sinai standards.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including mail sorting and deposition, and provide general support to the team as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
