Patient Service Representative

Job Summary:
The Patient Service Representative is a vital member of the Cedars-Sinai team, responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences through effective communication, appointment scheduling, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with patient registration, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage schedules, coordinate referrals, and facilitate communication.
- Process and track insurance authorizations, referrals, and other administrative tasks.
- Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to team goals.
- Adhere to infection prevention standards and department policies, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
