Job Title: Life Skills Coach

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a skilled Life Skills Coach to join our team at Resources for Human Development. As a Life Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with histories of substance abuse and mental health issues to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Engage Participants:** Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their recovery goals.
  • **Develop and Implement Recovery Plans:** Collaborate with participants, therapists, and other stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement individualized recovery plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • **Provide Life Skills Training:** Teach and support participants in developing essential life skills, including social skills, transportation skills, and employment skills.
  • **Assist with Daily Activities:** Assist participants with daily activities, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and household management.
  • **Connect Participants with Community Resources:** Help participants access community resources, including transportation, employment opportunities, and social services.
  • **Document Progress:** Maintain accurate and detailed records of participant progress, including recovery goals, challenges, and successes.

Requirements:

  • **Experience:** One year of experience working with individuals with histories of substance abuse and mental health issues is preferred.
  • **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • **Qualifications:** Valid driver's license, clear background check, and ability to pass required trainings.
