Position Overview:

We are looking for a Safety Specialist to oversee compliance with safety regulations at our organization. This position involves gathering and analyzing safety data, preparing reports, and implementing internal compliance measures. The specialist will conduct safety audits, provide training for employees, and maintain compliance documentation.

  • Data Collection and Analysis
  • Preparation and Submission of Reports
  • Management of Worker's Compensation
  • Conducting Inspections and Ensuring Compliance
  • Training and Development for Staff
  • Maintenance of Compliance Records
  • Incident Management and Reporting
  • Industrial Hygiene Assessments
  • Coordination with Community and Regulatory Bodies
  • Staying Updated on Regulatory Changes
  • Promoting Sustainability and Governance

Required Competencies:

  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations at federal, state, and local levels, including hazard assessments and safety protocols.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid, AED training, and Stop the Bleed certification, or willingness to obtain them promptly.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with regulatory agencies and training delivery.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficient in maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely documentation submissions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including plant personnel and regulatory agencies.
  • Training Skills: Capable of designing and delivering training programs to enhance safety awareness among employees.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects and tasks efficiently while adhering to regulatory standards.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory issues, including program development and policy implementation.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience) + Commission
