Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Safety Specialist to uphold our commitment to safety and compliance. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations align with all applicable safety regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. Responsibilities include the collection and analysis of safety data, preparation of compliance reports, and the development of internal safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Collect and monitor safety-related data to ensure compliance.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed safety reports.
- Compensation Oversight: Manage workman's compensation claims and processes.
- Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Training Programs: Provide comprehensive training to staff on safety protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety compliance activities.
- Incident Response: Manage and investigate safety incidents effectively.
- Industrial Hygiene: Conduct sampling and assessments related to workplace health.
- Community Engagement: Coordinate with community and governmental bodies on safety matters.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on changes in safety regulations.
- Sustainability Practices: Promote and implement sustainable safety practices.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree coupled with 2-3 years of relevant experience in safety management.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety program development.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
- Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience, plus commission.
- Two weeks of paid vacation annually.
