Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee compliance with safety regulations at our facility. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local safety standards. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing safety data, preparing compliance reports, and implementing internal safety processes. The specialist will also conduct safety audits, deliver training to staff, and maintain thorough records of compliance activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Regulatory Expertise:

Certifications:
Must possess or be willing to obtain OSHA 30, First Aid, AED, and Stop the Bleed certifications.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with regulatory bodies, conducting training, and preparing comprehensive reports.
Organizational Abilities:
Proficient in maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submission of necessary documentation.
Interpersonal Skills:
Capable of collaborating effectively with plant personnel, management, and regulatory agencies to foster a culture of safety compliance.
Training and Development:
Skilled in creating and delivering training programs focused on safety goals and procedures for plant personnel.
Project Management:
Adept at managing multiple projects and tasks to ensure compliance with safety regulations efficiently.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree along with 2-3 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Familiarity with regulatory issues related to program development and policy is essential.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 pounds.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience) + Commission
