Job Summary:

We are seeking a Safety Specialist to ensure the organization adheres to federal, state, and local safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and monitor safety data, preparing and submitting reports as required.
  • Conduct safety inspections, provide training to personnel, and maintain records of compliance activities.
  • Develop and enforce internal compliance processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel, management, and government agencies to foster a collaborative approach to safety compliance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and tasks, ensuring efficient completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2-3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including hazard assessment, HAZCOM, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, and Heat Injury.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with regulatory agencies and preparing detailed reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with plant personnel, management, and government agencies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory issues such as program development, policy, and processes.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
