Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Safety Specialist to oversee compliance with safety regulations at our organization. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal safety standards. The specialist will also conduct safety inspections, deliver training to staff, and keep detailed records of compliance activities.

Required Competencies:
Regulatory Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of safety regulations at all levels, including hazard assessments and various safety programs.


Certifications:
OSHA 30, First Aid, AED training, and Stop the Bleed certification, or a commitment to obtain them promptly.

Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written skills necessary for liaising with regulatory bodies, conducting training, and preparing comprehensive reports.

Organizational Abilities:
Proficient in maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submission of documentation.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to collaborate effectively with plant personnel, management, and regulatory agencies to foster a culture of safety compliance.


Training and Development Skills:
Capable of designing and delivering training programs that communicate safety goals and procedures to employees.

Project Management Skills:
Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience. Familiarity with regulatory matters such as program development and policy implementation is essential.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and background check. Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience) + Commission
