About the Role:

The Relationship Manager - Affordable Housing is a key position at Beneficial State Bank, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the affordable housing sector. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial banking products and services, as well as a proven track record of sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients in the affordable housing sector, including property owners, developers, and non-profit service providers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and solutions to clients, including commercial real estate loans, multi-family loans, and deed restricted affordable housing properties.
  • Work closely with the bank's client team to provide responsiveness and execution across all bank products and services.
  • Be accountable for understanding and articulating the mission of Beneficial State Bank to clients, prospects, and community members.
  • Maintain a record of all sales and relationship management activities through the use of established bank client management and internal communication systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent prior banking experience.
  • 5+ years of experience lending to affordable housing organizations and properties or commensurate experience in a financial capacity for an organization in the affordable housing industry.
  • Demonstrated relationship management experience and understanding of commercial banking products and services, including commercial real estate, multi-family loans, and deed restricted affordable housing properties.
  • Prior experience with financial analysis of new and existing affordable housing properties.
  • Proven sales and business development skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office related software, Salesforce, and/or other established Client Management System (CSM).
  • Organized with proven self-initiative and self-motivation.
  • Proven articulation and consistency in written and verbal communications with colleagues, clients, prospects, and community members.
